Jacob Johnson was born sometime before 1776 in Holland. He came to America before the Revolutionary War. He was married twice. The first wife had two sons and one daughter. It is presumed that the first son would have been Jacob Johnson II, who was married to Mary MC DONOUGH in Tennessee, and who were the parents of Andrew Johnson, the 17th President of the United States.
Jacob married a second time to a lady who came over on the ship with him. They had one additional son, Isaac , in 1812. Jacob's children:
